The Project is aimed at supporting development cooperation of SAIs with the greatest needs in the EUROSAI region. E.g. SAIs in countries eligible for official development assistance (ODA)1. The project activities will be based on the participating SAIs interests and needs.
Many EUROSAI members are developing countries and often have greater needs in terms of capacity development. By focusing support to these members and leaving no one behind, we can improve capacities and capabilities, which leads to better governance and transparency in the countries. Additionally, it enables an even better exchange of knowledge and experiences between all member SAIs, which strengthens cooperation and common goals within the organization.
The project’s objective is to support the SAIs in their development to become organisations working in line with international pronouncements and auditing standards. In more practical terms the project will deliver hands-on workshops mixed with blended learning in areas that have been identified as interesting for the participating SAIs.
