EUROSAI Capacity Building Seminars
Background and objectives
Strategic Goal 2 strives to offer projects on the basis of the actual needs of the EUROSAI community. The EUROSAI Capacity Building Seminars project is intended to gather staff of EUROSAI members at seminars, where they will have an opportunity to generate ideas, gain knowledge, share experience, identify opportunities and voice their needs.
The intention is to identify thematic areas (preferably three per a meeting) which may be of interest to the EUROSAI audit community, due to the challenges, or risks, that they pose. At the same time, discussions may bring opportunities in the given areas – on the basis of the participants’ experience and good practices that will be shared during the seminars.
The project is addressed to various groups of SAI staff like auditors, methodologists, press officers, strategic planning officers, international relations officers.
The project will contribute to the following outcomes:
- Improved exchange of knowledge and experience to the benefit of EUROSAI and its individual Members.
- Facilitated sharing of audit approaches, methods and experience, thus building mutual understanding between SAIs of common issues and insights into resolving them.
- More efficient and effective national and international audits.
