IDI-EUROSAI webinar: Growing competent SAI SDG Auditors to audit the SDGs
The webinar, co-organised by IDI and EUROSAI, will take place on 11 September 2025, from 13:00 to 14:00 (CEST) on Zoom (in English, without interpretation). The event is aimed at Heads of SAIs or their representatives, as well as key stakeholders engaged in Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and SDG audits at regional/global levels. The webinar will reflect on nearly a decade of work supporting SAIs in auditing the SDGs, including audits of preparedness and implementation in priority areas such as strong and resilient national public health systems (linked to SDG 3.d), sustainable public procurement (linked to SDG 12.7), and the elimination of intimate partner violence against women (linked to SDG 5.2).
The session will also introduce the SAI SDG Auditor Initiative, launched in July 2025 during the INTOSAI Side Event at the HLPF 2025. The initiative focuses on growing competent SAI auditors to audit the SDGs, ensuring effective contribution to the 2030 Agenda through high-quality audits, and enhancing communication of audit impact for sustainable development (more information at https://www.idi.no/work-streams/relevant-sais/auditing-sdgs/sai-sdgs-auditor-initiative). The webinar will provide an opportunity to learn more about the initiative, clarify questions, and reflect on the added public audit value of SAIs’ work in advancing the 2030 Agenda.
